Every once in a while we come a cross a flower that hits right both in terms of quality and budget! Enter Keylime Kush by Lotus.
Lotus is a North Okanagan based brand led by lifelong friends Jason Brown and Carl Correia. The Lotus team decided to bring their legacy medical grow team into the regulated adult use space to allow others to experience their highly sought after collection of cannabis genetics.
The Keylime Kush ,which is their first branded flower to market, is a beautiful hybrid cross between Key Lime Mints and Kush Mints #11. Bred by Seed Junky Genetics, this cultivar’s unique terpene profile of farnesene, limonene, caryophyllene, and linalool delivers the flavours and aromas of lime kush and green apple with notes of cookies and gas. Based on what we’ve seen the colas are very well nourished.
The bud structure is really pretty. Its frosty, and foxtailed and it has some sticky to it! This is really nice to see. The aroma is full bodied and carries a punch. It grinds up beautifully and yes you need a grinder, this will not breakdown between your fingers. Lastly the smoke is beautiful with a long lasting mellow and creative effect in my case.
It is available in both a glass jar with 3.5g and in a 3 pack of .5g pre rolls. Note the THC content on the packaging is out of this world and it’s not something we’re going to focus on because in our opinion the THC hype needs to be revisted. Suffice it to say she’s potent.
