That said if you are a renter you will have to get approval from your landlord to consume or if you live in a townhouse or condo you will have to heed the bylaws of your strata. BC has a long history of a relaxed attitude around cannabis consumption so it’s unclear how much energy bylaw officers and the police department are going to dedicate to enforcing these laws but it’s better safe than sorry.! We recommend that you engage your strata and landlords in an open discussion to help educate and inform those who have fears and concerns. Many people do not know that vaporizers are a good alternative to smoking dried flowers indoors as the odor is greatly reduced as is the risk of fire.
